Headaches/Migraines
In the U.S. last year over $2.5 billion was spent on aspirin, ibuprofen
and acetaminophen. These drugs were designed to treat the pain of
headaches and general aches and pains. What the public does not
realize is that these drugs only mask the real problem and create
serious side-effects that are much more serious than a headache.
So what can you do?
Everyone has experienced headaches at some point in their life.
Whether the cause is tension, lack of sleep, trauma or too much
alcohol we all know the effects and how that can feel. However,
about 20% suffer from chronic and recurrent bouts of headaches.
These aches are actually a result of the sensitive areas of your
skull and neck. It may involve the arteries to the brain, the dura
(which is the cover of the brain and spinal cord), the muscles of
the neck and the vertebra (which can move out of place) becoming
pulled, stretched, irritated or inflamed resulting in a headache.
Chiropractic does not claim to be a treatment for headaches. However,
after 100 years and numerous scientific trials headache sufferers
have had a great deal of benefit from chiropractic adjustments.
The elimination of spinal subluxations allows the body to restore
itself to a greater level of health and function in the manner with
which it was designed. Chiropractic care is essential for those
who suffer from headaches. Headaches are real and their effects
play a serious role in your life. This is something you should not
have to deal with no matter how old, no matter what sex, no matter
what injury. No matter what, headaches cannot be corrected with
drugs.
